are engineers. We have, in the past 75 years, endeavored to service the immediate needs of the Industrial and Utility Markets utilizing engineers to manage this effort.

TESTING

SATIN AMERICAN fully testsand documents all products prior to shipment. All testing is performed under the direct supervision of out Electrical Engineering Staff. High power lab and ANSI testing is performed on all SATIN AMERICAN designed products.

An Engineer is assigned to each project and will personally sign off on all Electrical and Mechanical Testing:

WHAT GOES INTO A VACUUM CONVERSION?
The Art of Retrofitting Air Magnetic Medium Voltage Circuit Breakers With Vacuum and SF6 Components Is Relatively New...

1. Some manufacturers have approached the Retrofitting Process by adding vacuum bottles only to Air Magnetic Frames and existing closing mechanisms. This process can be successful with some stored energy mechanisms when the entire assembly is backed up with ANSI interrupting testing and operational life data.

2. Some manufacturers have retrofitted Solenoid Operated Air Magnetic Circuit Breakers with vacuum bottles only and then claim that the new assemblies are suitable for use. Test data on these closing mechanism and vacuum bottle assemblies may not be available as these components have never been ANSI tested as an assembly.

Claims have been made that these converted breakers have been tested. The only test data available, however, is the data on the vacuum bottles. Lack of overall testing can lead to re-strike and failure of your equipment.
