In the late 20th century, SQUARE D developed a highly successful line of load interrupter switches designated POWERZONE

The design of the POWERZONE switches were characterized by stored energy closing mechanisms

The Load interrupter switches were available in voltages ranging from 5000 volts through 15000 volts. Interrupting current availability of the switches ranged from 600 to 1200 amp.

Momentary ratings were available as high as 61,000 amps.

Subsequent to the design of the POWERZONE, SQUARE D, developed a load break switch system containing an integral vacuum bottle in series with a visible switch mechanism. SQUARE D designated this new design VISIVAC. The new VISIVAC line is available with mechanical and electrical stored energy closing mechanisms.

All SQUARE D load interrupter switches and switch enclosures are available from Satin International and Satin American.

All replacement parts for SQUARE D load break switches are available from SATIN INTERNATIONAL and SATIN AMERICAN. These include:
