AIR CIRCUIT BREAKERS
250, 750, 1000, 2000, 3600 VOLTS DC
WESTINGHOUSE / EATON / CUTLER HAMMER
In the 1950’s, WESTINGHOUSE manufactured its largest selling line of DC circuit breakers and associated switchgear. The model produced was the
- DR 150 model with amperage ratings to 12000 amp DC
Amperage ratings for the above breakers were 2000, 4000, 6000, 8000, 10000, and 12000 amps DC.
These breakers were controlled by simple electro-mechanical assemblies that afforded, pickup, delay and instantaneous settings. The breakers also had available. Reverse Current tripping features.
The closing mechanism featured a large solenoid operated assembly.
The DR 150 series of circuit breakers were available both fixed mounted and drawout. It should be noted that with the fixed model designs, the panel on which the breaker was mounted, came in a number of different dimensions.
The stationary copper for the DR 150 series of breakers, usually followed a standard pattern with regard to size, number of bars and orientation. There were instances, however, when there were deviations from the norm.
You can contact Satin American for specifications on the Westinghouse copper configurations.
The DR 150 series of DC breakers, manufactured by WESTINGHOUSE , HAS been obsoleted,
All of the original Complete WESTINGHOUSE DR 150 Circuit Breakers are available directly from the Satin International and Satin American Corp.
